FIORES is a project funded by the European Commission working in the field of Computer Aided Aesthetic Design.

The objective is to define criteria for the "harmonic" appearance of shapes to use it for the intuitive design of high quality surfaces and the development of a tool allowing to include the phase of conceptual design in the production process and in the CAS/CAD (Computer Aided Styling, Computer Aided Design). This is done to give a continuity to the working cycle of the whole product process, thus shortening the design timing, especially when using physical models with great loss of time and information flux interference.

The tool allows the reduction of physical models use by reducing the design optimization loops.
