A Step-like is an intrusion or extrusion having a shape with an evident longitudinal predominance that can be naturally associated to a curve (the mapping wire). The step operator performs the substitution of a region crossing one or more adjacent surfaces with two or more surfaces joined at the mapping wire with specified continuity conditions. The smoothness of the resulting surfaces
can be defined by specifying continuity constraints between the modified area and the surrounding surface (G-1, G0, G1, G2). |
