| PININFARINA Studi e Ricerche, located
at Cambiano, near Torino, is an independently operating company within
the PININFARINA Group. Its pre-eminent mission is the design development
of automobiles and other transport means, keeping PININFARINA as a worldwide
renewed design reference. Beyond automotive activity, customers come from
areas such as trains, buses, trucks, earth moving machines, agricultural
tractors, fork-lifts, ferries, aircraft interiors, leisure boats and others.
The following activities of the 186
employees can be a part of processes throughout the Group, or services
offered to other specific customers:

Creative definition through sketches, final
renderings and CAS visualization

Layout engineering for manufacturing of
models and prototypes

Models manufacturing in different materials
and scales

Manufacturing of running prototypes utilizing
different technologies (steel, aluminium, plastic)

PININFARINA Studi e Ricerche participated
successfully in several Italian research programmes like "Energetica 1
& 2" in 1978 and 1990. Its interest in FIORES is to develop innovative
means to obtain the best correspondence between styling models and all
subsequent manufacturing tools. |
