| UDK is a small development company
founded in the spring of 1994 by Prof. Roger Andersson, who also works
at the Mid-Sweden University, following more than 10 years work at VOLVO
data. At University he leads a very well-coordinated research team in optimal
design, specialized in applied mathematics, CAD and large scale optimization.
The speciality of UDK is the development of algorithms and programs for
advanced curve and surface modelling. The long previous experience of the
staff of the company was gained through the practical generation of curves
and surfaces in the automotive industry, through design and implementation
of systems supporting users to attain high quality curves and surfaces
and through research in mathematics and CAGD. Its main customer today is
the Swedish Institute for Product Development Research, a research institute
that interacts essentially with Swedish CAD users. |
